More images and more information leaked out :D (here in English)
We now know the 7 start-jobs (in FFXI were 6), and a lil more about the ranges of their weapons and spells and abilities. So far, sounds awesome ^_^/
Let's hope that there soon will also be more ingame shots since the beta seemed to start today.

What start? Yea! Today there appeared the login-link for all the lucky FFVIX-Beta-Testers! What's behind this link will sadly stay unknown except for those which are allowed to log in :(

And it's just 24 hours to go till the start of FFXIV-Beta! "What"? you may say.. it still takes longer.. I don't think so.. or to be honest I don't know really. In 24 hours it's 00:00 in Japan so I would say, then it will start in all Regions. But no one except Square Enix knows the truth XD

As you may also already read, with the NA and EU version of FFXIII you can register for a FFXIV-Code for the PS3 Beta and later for an exclusive ingame FFXIV-Item! If it will be the same as on the Jap-FFXIII is unknown. As we know SE, it probably won't, as it never was in the past with FFXI.
I will tell you once we know more about this ^^/

In case you didn't make it into the α or β yet, you get a very last chance! Eorzeapedia and ZAM got a few open spots which they can give to their users! So if you have an account at one of these two, try your luck and sign up. The end date is March the 7th!

But no need to cry if you won't get selected yet. ALL the applications will remain at Square Enix and as we know, SE will slowly increase the number of beta-testers for each stage and sooner or later you're also in β-Eorzea ;D

But don't think, being in the beta is just fun XD
You have to search for errors and wrong stuff, log it and make a report when and where what happened, and what you did, what you were wearing, fighting, which keys you pressed, etc. So it's a lot of work ^^;
And the game will still be buggy and not the final nice product you'll see once it's out.

Be happy if you got in and work hard for the game, or enjoy the free time you have if you're not in yet XD

VanaFest 2010 finally give us a date when the beta test will start! It's set to 11th of March 2010! Tomorrow, 1st of March, Square Enix will send out the Mails to the lucky Beta-Tester. Let's hope, all who read tis will be in the team ;D

The Open Beta will get an application form also on this 11th of March. So stay tuned and don't forget to register as soon as it's up :D

In case you like Podcasts and didn't know about this one already, I have a little tip for ya! The guys from Pet Food Alpha (A Final Fantasy XI Podcast) started one for Final Fantasy XIV! It's called Aetheryte Radio!
I'm listening to it since the first episode. Now they already released the 5th one! So sorry for the late note ^^;
Mostly they just analyses the newest News about FFXIV. But there are also some nice discussions ongoing, mostly also including comparisons with FFXI. This makes it a little hard to understand for ppl which don't know Final Fantasy yet.. But it's nice to listen to what other ppl think about the game ^^

I took a lil look at this image up here again witch obviously shows a map.. In order to see ot better, I simply turned it a lil and scaled it into a rectangle. And what could I see? This here:

Take a look at the bottom right. There you can read "EOR" which I think could mean that this is a map of Eorzea!

Just for fun I then tried to outline the land. The upper right part is very blurry and hard to see where the border of Eorzea really is... So I just tried to find one.. In the end, I got this early map-sketch:

Last year at gamescom we saw a very detailed ingame map. But it's not said that this map will be in the game forever! But let's hope so ;3

The problem is, when they do, I won't be able to post any pictures or anything related to the beta :< Sorry already.. Despite that I don't know if they'll choose me or not..

At least I told SE that I own this site, so they can see that I'm a trustworthy and reliable person ;D No really, I would not post anything. I promise it here with black letters on a white background :3 I would only post things I'm allowed to post!

The Tokyo Game Show is over. We excepted some new things about FFXIV and got a great new Trailer ^^/ You can watch it at the end of this entry.

What we didn't get so far are furtherer news about gameplay or story elements. Sure, the trailer shows a few interesting things... but not exactly what we expected.

But one thing we got with the trailer is an awesome soundtrack! Nobuo Uematsu is just great XD
One other thing I could find out so far is that there will be a beta of the game soon. However, only for PC and not PS3 but hey, BETA =D But we don't have any date yet, so we need to be patient.
