A new video appeared this week on the FINAL FANTASY XIV Youtube-Channel. It's called "Eorzea ― The Making of a Realm #1".
To me it looks like this could be content from the additional DVD which comes in the Collector's Edition of FFXIV. And it looks like there will come more next, since it starts with #1 ;D
On the other side, the "Life in Eorzea" also had a #1 and there's no new video out yet since the release in march ^^; Well, we'll see.

Why two dates? Because there will be two versions available which are:

FINAL FANTASY XIV

The, let's call it, standard version. It'll be released at the 22nd of September including the extra ingame item Garlond Googles!

These googles are said to help you gain skillups faster!

FINAL FANTASY XIV - Collector's Edition

The Collector's Edition contains not only the game but also 7 bonuses!
First one is the early access, already on the 22nd of September!
You'll get a DVD with a behind the scenes look, a travel journal to note down your adventures and which is full of awesome not yet seen concept artwork, a map of Eorzea, a Security Token with the FFXIV Logo on it and a guest pass to invite a fiend for free for a short time.
Also your game will be free for the first 30 days! :D
And of course, there's also an ingame item in this pack! The Onion Helm!

This helm is said to quicken your recovery after you got KOed.
As you can see, this really looks similar to the Onion Knight's helm from FINAL FANTASY III ^^^

BUT: This release date in only for the PC version! The PS3 Version won't come out before 2011!

SQUARE ENIX showed a new Video in the FINALFANTASYXIV-YouTube Channel. In it we can see all the difference between the non-open alpha and the open beta.

Quiet different ^^ But I still hope that the "glow" from the atmosphere won't make too much trouble with the gameplay...

With the E3 ongoing, SQUARE ENIX released a lot of new stuff around FINAL FANTASY XIV
SQEX also updated the FFXIV-YouTube Channel and added the latest Trailer and two interviews to it!

In the first one shows Hiromichi Tanaka describing the "new" battle system they added to the game. Since we don't even know the "old" one it doesn't actually matter lols ;D

The second video shows a demo of FFXIV over 3 screens and in 3D! :D yay ^^
But if you always need 3 monitors to play it in 3D then .. lame XD

Finally in this trailer we're able to see not only Limsa Lominsa but also all the other stater cities and even more places! Enjoy! :D

By the way, you know what the best part is of this new traier? Finally a Moogle! :D

With the E3 ongoing, SQUARE ENIX released a lot of new stuff around FINAL FANTASY XIV. One new thing for all PC users is a benchmark of FFXIV to test your computer if they'll be able to run the game!

You can download the benchmark and read the instructions here on this site.

The benchmark shows a cut scene on a boat with you selected chara. It's the same cut scene which is said to be the introduction in the alpha and for Limsa Lominsa.

I myself did of course also tested the benchmark with my computer ^^ I used the "auto" setting for each test. For Windows XP and a resolution of 1280 x 720 I got this result:

Not too bad! 4445 means that it will run with standard settings really good, I may even can consider to run on high setting and/or higher resolution :D
So I also wanted to test the higher resolution 1920 x 1080 since I have such a big screen XD

Not too bad. The scene actually run really smooth, didn't feel like it lags. So I also tried it out on my Windows 7!

A lil worse then XP, but also not too bad on 1920 x 1080. So I guess, I will be able to install it on my Win7 ^^

Square Enix released a new video in their FINAL FANTASY XIV Channel on YouTube called MISSION IMPOSSIBLE. In it, they show two "agents" sneaking into SQEX and stealing information about the new character creation of FFXIV. You can take a look at it here:

And as the title says there are multiple videos, however the other one is not yet released. It's the intro of FINAL FANTASY XIV which is said to be shown at the soon starting E3.
The Famitsu Magazine could already could take a look at this new video and posted one picture on their site, shown below. As soon as SQEX shows it on the E3 and puts it online, I'll also post it here XD

Also to the worldmap we now know have the confirmation where the three major cities Limsa Lominsa, Ul'dah and Gridania are. And we also know the emblem of each City! :D
