Today was the VanaFest 2010 in Japan! A WHOLE LOT of news about the upcoming year got released! Too much to post everything here XD So instead here the Links to the sites with all the stuff ;D

Square Enix made a live-stream of the whole show. I myself couldn't watch everything, was too busy ^^; But I luckily just jumped in when they announced a few new job-adjustments as well as the Nomad Bonanza drawing!
And so, here the winning-numbers!

I myself had the Number 51496 - so no price at all ^^;
If I understood it right, then a player from Odin Server hit the final jackpot and now will find a free Relic or Myth Weapon in his or her delivery box ;D

I'm sure, all the new adjustments which are going to happen will change Final Fantasy XI.. I hope it still will remain a good game...

For all which didn't see or heard any of the new stuff, here a few words what you have to expect: Odin, Alexander, Meteor, LEVEL 99 ...

We had a nice Dynamis Xarcabard run last Tuesday. We were just faring a lil and getting used to the time-nuke and stuff. When suddenly the BLM-Hat dropped! And I commented it! With the highest bid in our bid-points-system! :D

So I was allowed to solo lot the hat! :D

And got it ^^

I want to thank again the awesome RelicWings Dynamis Linkshell! ;3
5/5 on BLM-Relic now, since we don't do dreamlands (yet) :D

Woho, time for Dynamis again :D

This time we went to Dynamis-Beaucedine. Not for the first time, it was already the 3rd ^^; But this time I have some nice stuff to write :D

Everything started great, as we planed it. The moon was only about 20% but wtf, we are always so lucky with AF Drops XD

Already the first six pulls brought us one BLM and one SMN. During the run we also got RNGs, NIN, MNK, DRG, DRK, COR, BLU and maybe more, but I forgot XD

But two more I remember really good because I could lot them :D
One was BLM which I got with the awesome lot of 990! XD

The second is the PUP body. Actually I lost this lot. But Jayy, the other lotter, said he has Mirke body and wanted to give it to me since I can use it better :3 Thanks a lot Jayy ^^/

So this means, I'm not 4/5 on BLM, if I only count the AFs from Cities till Xarca which our LSs is doing.
Oh, and up here a nice group shot before we went down to the mega boss.....

What an eye...

When we tried it the first time we failed, although we didn't really know why. But this time we focused more and we got it! :D
Two AFs and Beaucedine clear on one day! :D

And not just that! We fast dropped the glass after the kill and went in again for farming.

And we really managed it to get to the Hyrdas!
Okay.. they didn't drop anything more then currency.. but hey, killing Mega Boss and farming on Hydras and that with only about 25 ppl! looks like we're good ;P

Okay then, next time we wanna go to Xarcabard. So let's see what it will bring us ;3

Yes, you read tit right, the Dynamis LS I'm in had it's first run yesterday evening! what a battle :D

We started our Dynamis career in Bastok since it's said to be the easiest to do. But with only about 30 people, which made it a little bit harder =3

Oh yea, by the way, a few pictures can be shown bigger, just click on them if you see a magnifier showing up while the mouse is over them =3
I say this, because the one up here is one of these pictures. Just a little one that you can see how Dynamis Bastok looked to me XD

When we started, everything worked out a little slow until we all knew our roles. Then it run quiet smooth. But after a while, the Scholar and one of us Black Mages had to leave earlier.. So There was just Shounenai and myself as BLM left to nuke statues down.
this worked quiet well.. But we had to focus a lot and also had sometimes trouble with MP... But it worked.
And we even managed to kill the Boss! First run with this LS and a win :D

And not just that, there also drooped a LOT of AF2 I think!

One was the Sorcerer's Tonban which I had the chance to lot.

And I also won it! :D My first AF2!!! :D Even the leader Win was happy ^^

And a few moments later, a second BLM AF2 dropped lol... XD

Anyway, as said there dropped kinda lot of AF2. We had I f I'm correct two MNK, a PLD, two BLU, a SMN, a RDM, about three THF and the mentioned two BLM. Maybe more, I lost track of all the drops XD

It was a nice battle for our first time, a win and a lot of fun :3 Let's hope the next run will be even better with two or three more BLMs^^; Then we will be in Sandy, one of the areas I already was once!! um.. about two years ago or so.. XD

After some experience in Campaign Battles, I would like to show some tactics to all the BLMs here, how they can get the most out of a battle!
I basically recommend these three types:

• Normal Caster
• Staff Combat Caster
• Club Combat Caster

Normal Caster

This is probably the safest way through a Campaign Battle. Stay out of range of AoE attacks and fire your MPs on the Monsters. If you're getting tired, just heal and/or Aspir. Aspir works on nearly all the Monsters in the Campaign Battles!
If you're new, use that to get you through the Battles safe and with a nice amount of EXP/LP/Allied Notes

Staff Combat Caster

If you're Staff Skill already hit the 215, then feel free to go into battle with your staff! Easily Aspire MP when you need them and use Spirit Taker once you have 100% TP.
Sure a BLM doesn't have a huge defense. So it's better to wait until a tank got a mob first. Use Stone Skin and Blink to cover up AoE attacks or Drain your MP back which works great in Campaign.
I recommend you're subbing WHM, because you probably need some Cures and Reraises during a fight. But It's worth it!

Club Combat Caster

This is the way I do the Battles! Because my Staff Skill didn't hit 215 yet, I cannot use Spirit Taker. So I needed to find another way to gather some MP during the fights.
(I know, up there in the picture I'm using Spirit Taker, but it's a fake!! :D)

I grabbed a nice Club and a Shield!

Use any club with MP Drain effect. There are more than that one up there. Plus a Shield to cover some attacks. Genbu Shield probably fits best XD
Jump in the Battle, hit the mobs to drain some MP and Cast the hell out of them! With the additional defense of the shield you can evade some more attacks than the Staff Caster.
Because you're getting MP on nearly every second hit (deepens on your club skill of course) you getting more MP than the Staff Caster. Use Starlight and Moonlight to get additional MP once your TP are above 100%. Don't wait till 300%, it's better to use them right away.

Whatever for a tactic you're using as a BLM, there is one thing: Don't finish a Campaign Battle with more than 100 MP. If so, you've made something wrong XD

By the way, I could get it to the Sterling Star∮∮ without trouble, evaluation for the next Rank is Tomorrow and I'm already more than at the limit to pass it =3

Yes, you’re reading right! I’m currently redoing the BLM AF Quest! Why you’re asking? Well..

Since I’m leveling PUP I get lots of Beastmen Seals and a good way to get rid of them is a BCNM. The best BCs have a lv 60 cap.  Like the awesome BLM AF-Hat. But because I already turned it into a +1 version, I no longer own the “normal” hat and the new one has a lv 72 cap. So I would need to wear something shittier for the BCs. But because I don’t want to, I’m redoing the quest =P

Ok, where was I? Ah, yes.. AF1..
Long story fast, it’s a NM fight in Xarcabard.
Key item is a faded crystal which needs to be traded to a ??? to spawn the NM.

The fight was extremely easy XD Not like some years before when I did it the first time ..

And so I got the key item and the AF1 Item! Woho!

So then, let’s go to the 2nd Quest soon!
